Huntington Beach California---All settled

Well its official...cuz now we have internet, which means I can finally update this thing again. It has been a very round about trip to finally land in Huntington Beach California. We left pittsburgh the 16 of december and went to my parents house for christmas (Loni's). That was a blast! Jordan started training with the new company Physiom January 4th in Colorado. I stayed in WA with the fam. Which was very nice not to have to be all alone, but poor jordan was all alone for 3 weeks!! He was miserable. Then on January 21st Jordan flew from Denver to Huntington Beach and checked us in to our new apartment, the cars arrived two days later and our pod arrived 4 days later....which was the day I flew in from WA. And being the handsome robust manly man that he is emptied all of our stuff from the pod into the apartment BY HIMSELF!! He was supposed to have help but they all bailed on him the same day. So in 4 hours before he had to be at the airport to get me he hauled all our stuff up a flight of stairs into our apartment...including our queen bed....I still dont know how he did it.

And here we are. and WE LOVE IT. It really is like paradise to us....well as paradise as you can get in an apartment. That does take some getting used too. I realized that I have never lived on the bottom apartment before. and of course we are under a bunch of bachelors that wrestle and dont ever go to bed. but I am getting used to the noises. And really the only other annoying thing is that our shower water always changes on us from hot to cold to hot to burning to warm to cold. thats dumb. but it is everything we were hoping for. you can literally see our apartment from the beach, and it has a tennis court and basketball court and volleyball court and are nice apartments in a very safe area, and best of all we have awesome management. That makes a huge difference.

It has been sunny here most days, but we have had a pretty cool storm, which people around here think is crazy.....which is hillarious....cuz it was just rain and wind. The palm trees make it look cool tho....like were in some hurricane thats on the news. Today it rained all day....sunday was a perfect 65 and sunny all day.

We went and got rollerblades at a play it again sports store down the road, and Jordan and I take turns rollerblading with Kyren in the stroller and the other person on the long board down the board walk along the beach. (eldon and kimi let us borrow their long boards while they are in rexburg....they are SO much fun) and everything is so flat here that you can get cruising. Kyren loves it. It is a lot of fun.

We are almost all the way unpacked, we got everything unpacked but there are still 3 more boxes and they are still in boxes cuz we are compeltely out of space in the apartment so I dont know what to do with it. Its a 2 bedroom apartment, 2 bath, living room and a joined kitchen dining area. and they have no storage space besides the bedroom closets. Which Kyrens closet is packed all the way up with food storage and tools and christmas stuff, along with baby stuff like car seats. Once we get some bookshelfs that will help a lot.

Oh and it is so much more convenient to live here than in pittsburgh, we have every store....and I mean every store/mall/gas station....all within 5 miles of our house right down the street. thats been really nice.

The only thing that has tainted our stay has been Jordan getting sick.....he had a fever of 104 for like 3 days and it is still at 100.4 and has been for the last 10 days. And now he has this terrible cough and is feeling terrible. And of course after enough time Kyren is now sick. I took him to a pediatrician today and he has an ear ache and a nasal drip he thinks is causing the coughing...so what did the doc do? put him on an antibiotic of course, thats all they ever do. And i wouldnt even use it except he has had this cough now for 3 months (since november) and hopefully this antibiotic will get rid of it. I have been really really tired and achy with a runny nose....hopefully it doesnt get worse than that. LAst night jordan created sign and put it on our front door saying....."QUARENTINE......leper unit, stay away!" cuz we have been just laying around the hosue sleeping like every 2 hours and getting up to eat and maybe do laundry for the past week, we have all been so tired that we havnt done much. so we practiced laying around and maoning like some sick unit. :)

Anyway I have to go to an apointment in like 20 min so hopefully I can get some pictures on here soon. Oh and sad news all the pics I took over the break are on our terabite which so nicely BROKE and the stupid company wont pay for data removal....i suppose thats not a surprise but it was their machine that just started malfuntioning after only 6 months and it has all of our pictures on it and like 108 gigs of other stuff and they wont do a thing about it, they are sending us a new terabite tho, but who wants it if it is just going to break? I have to get a back up for my back up? That stuff is annoying,.

Well ta ta for now

About Me

We are both students at the University of Pittsburgh in the Neuroscience program. We graduate April 26 2009!! Loni is 23 and Jordan is 24. Jordan would like to be a doctor in the Air Force...as a career and has just finished applying to medical schools. I am pregnant and ready to be a little mom. We are both way to ready to graduate. Jordan is working as the Tech guy for the University's Jazz band, which he loves. I am currently working as a computer consultant on campus...its a very easy job, very school friendly. Jordan is the Gospel principles teacher in our ward and I am the new second counselor in the Young womens, so I am over the Beehives. Jordan does great at his calling and loves to "vent", and I love mine, the beehives are awesome...definitely the best ones of the pick. On the side we are both landlords, which is turning out to be a cinch so far.
